The Face Intellect software package is installed as an extension to the Intellect software package. For the information on compatibility of Face Intellect with Intellect versions, see General information about product releases and versions compatibility.
Attention!
- Updating Face Recognition 4.8.3, Face Finding 5.0.1 and earlier versions is not supported. If you try to upgrade these versions, the stored data will be irretrievably lost and you will need to purchase a new license key.
- To correctly install the new version of Face Intellect, manually delete the old Face Recognition 4.8.3, Face Finding 5.0.1 (with reference face database removing) and earlier versions modules.
- Face Intellect software package should be installed both on the Server/Remote administrator workplace and on the Client (for details, see Intellect software package. Administrator's Guide).
- If you update Intellect, it is also necessary to update Face Intellect to a later version.
To install the Face Intellect software package, do the following:
In the root directory of the distribution package, run the setup.exe executable file.
Note
If the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Packages (x64) is not installed, this package will be installed in silent mode.
- To continue the installation process, click the Next button.
- Carefully read the conditions of the license agreement, confirm that you agree with them by setting the I accept the terms of the License agreement checkbox and click Next.
- Select the MS SQL Server database server and set the connection parameters. For details, see Installation of INTELLECT™ software as a Server/Remote administrator workplace). To continue the installation process, click Next.
- Specify the folder where images and vectors of captured and reference faces will be stored.
- To start the installation process, click the OK button.
- As a result, copying of the necessary components of Face Intellect to the hard disk of the computer will start.
After successful copying of Face Intellect components, a message about the completion of the installation process will be displayed. Then click on the Finish button.
Note
The TCP 10000 port will become open for all incoming connections in Windows firewall during the Face Intellect installation — this port is important for the proper operation of the Face Intellect software package.
The Face Intellect software package installation is successfully completed.
