Documentation for Axxon One 2.0. Documentation for other versions of Axxon One is available too.
You can control a PTZ camera with the PTZ control panel or directly in the Surveillance window (see Controlling a PTZ camera in the OnScreen PTZ mode, Control using Areazoom, Control using Point&Click).
The user gains access to this panel when they select a Surveillance window of a camera in the Live mode that supports a PTZ control interface.
Attention!
A PTZ camera is controlled in accordance with the priority specified in the role settings (see Roles). If the user with a higher priority controls a PTZ camera with the PTZ control panel, users with a lower priority cannot control it (as long as the camera is selected). If the user with a higher priority controls the PTZ camera, the relevant information is displayed on the panel.
Depending on the settings of the PTZ device (see The PTZ object), multiple users who have the same control priority can control the PTZ camera simultaneously. If you disable the option to simultaneously control the PTZ camera by multiple users, in cases when users have the same priority, the user who connected faster gets the control. However, a user with equal or higher priority can take over the PTZ control. To do this, select the Yes value for the Multiple control parameter to activate the Take control button. If you select the No value, the button isn't displayed (see The PTZ object). If the user who controls the PTZ camera is idle for a certain time (see Configuring PTZ control), a device automatically unlocked and the control becomes available to all users.
The following actions can be performed using the PTZ device control panel:
- Use presets.
- Modify the parameters of the iris, focus, and optical zoom.
- Modify the horizontal and vertical tilt angle of the camera.
- Start/stop patrol mode.
Note
For information on specifying presets, see The PTZ Control Panel.
When you exit the PTZ device control panel, it is automatically switched to the default preset if the value in the Home preset timeout field is different from 0 (see The PTZ object).
