The Change parameter function is to edit the parameters of INTELLECT™ objects in the database. This function is not recommended to be used by new users.

When the Change parameter function is selected in the context menu of the system object, the Change parameter box appears.

In the Object dropdown list select the type of system objects the parameter of which is to be edited. This list contains only objects that are child objects of that one the context menu of which was used to call the box. To change parameters of the Computer object, select the Change parameter item  in the context menu that appears when the area with no objects of INTELLECT™ objects tree is right-clicked.

In the Parameter dropdown list select the object parameter that is to be changed in the INTELLECT™ database.

Attention!

The parameter will be changed for all objects of selected type in the distributed configuration.

In the Value field specify a new value for the parameter in the format in which it will be stored in the database. One can learn about the type of parameter using the ddi.exe utility (see Editing intellect.dbi and intellect.ext.dbi database templates using the ddi.exe utility section). One can learn about the format of parameter while viewing INTELLECT™ database (see Viewing INTELLECT™ software database section).

If the parameter is to be changed for child objects only then set the Only child objects checkbox checked. For instance, this checkbox allows changing the parameter only on the computer selected in the tree.

Example. All cameras in the system are to be set for displaying black-and-white video.

For this do the following:

  1. Call the Change parameter box in the context menu of the Video Capture Device or Camera object.
  2. Fill in the fileds in the Change parameter box as shown in the figure.
  3. Click the Apply button.

As a result the black-and-white mode of displaying video is set for all cameras in the system.
