Upgrading from Axxon Next to Axxon One

There are some limitations for upgrading from Axxon Next to Axxon One:

1. You can upgrade to Axxon One only from Axxon Next 4.5.
2. Upgrade from Axxon Next versions earlier than 4.5 to Axxon One 1.0 is not available.
3. Updating the Client through the Server is not available, it is necessary to update it manually on each Client.
4. Upgrade from Axxon Next to Axxon One via the supervisor web interface is not available.

To upgrade from Axxon Next to Axxon One, do the following:

1. Stop the Server (see Shutting down a Server) or the NGP_Supervisor service in case of a failover system. If there are several Servers in the Axxon Domain, stop them all.
2. Launch the Axxon One installer. Uninstalling Axxon Next is not required.
3. In the warning window, click Yes.
   

4. Run the installation by selecting an existing configuration. The procedure is the same as installation (see Installation).
   
   

   Note

   During the upgrade process from Axxon Next to Axxon One, the installation path will remain the same.

   

   

5. After you complete the installation of Axxon One, use the Activation Utility to deactivate the license (see Deactivating a license).

   Attention!

   Axxon Next licenses are not compatible with Axxon One. After upgrade, you need to request a new license key.

6. Request a new license key and activate it (see Activation Guide).

7. Restart the Server.

   Attention!

   To ensure the correct operation of Axxon One after upgrading from Axxon Next, it is necessary to restart the Server.

   Attention!

   After you update the Failover configuration, it is necessary to restart all DB Agents, and then restart all nodes.

   Note

   After upgrading from Axxon Next to Axxon One, folder names will remain the same.

The upgrade from Axxon Next to Axxon One is completed.
