Scanning mode in Axxon One allows you to analyze objects or areas that may have been missed by the detection tool due to their small size or distance from the camera.

In scanning mode, the Surveillance window is conditionally divided into several segments to improve decoding accuracy.

Segments are conditionally selected parts of the frame that are analyzed separately and all together at the same time.

Scanning mode is available for the fire and smoke detection, pose detection, Neurocounter, Neurotracker.

To configure the scanning mode, do the following:

  1. In the settings of the required detection tool, in the Scanning window field, select the Yes value.

  2. Specify the Scanning window height.
  3. Specify the Scanning window width.

    Note

    You must specify the height and width of the scanning window according to the actual size of the frame.


  4. Specify the Scanning window step height.
  5. Specify the Scanning window step width.

The scanning step determines the relative offset of the segments. If the step is equal to the height and width of the scanning window respectively, the segments will line up one after another. Reducing the scanning step will increase the detection accuracy, but will also increase the CPU load. Decreasing the step below the height or width will cause the segments to overlap, while increasing the step will cause gaps between the segments.

Note

We recommend specifying the height and width of the scanning step according to the values of the height and width of the scanning window.

For example, the real frame size is 1920×1080 pixels. To divide the Surveillance window into four equal segments, set the height of the window and the scanning step to 540 pixels and the width to 960 pixels. As a result, the window will be conditionally divided into four equal segments that will be analyzed separately and all together at the same time.

Attention!

Increasing the number of segments increases the CPU load.
