Documentation for Axxon One 2.0. Documentation for other versions of Axxon One is available too.
Attention!
- In Axxon One, you cannot recover a lost password from the root user (superuser). If you lost the password, you must reinstall Axxon One. The user database will be lost. To restore the camera configuration, contact AxxonSoft technical support.
- For a system connected to https://axxonnet.com/ (see Configuring a domain in AxxonNet, Configuring users and roles in AxxonNet), you can recover the password via AxxonNet (see Registration, authorization, password recovery and change in AxxonNet).
Features of creating a password of the root user (superuser)
By default, Axxon One has only one registered role—admin and one user—root. The root user belongs to the admin role and has permissions to configure all components of the video management system (see General information about users).
After you install Axxon One, a dialog window indicating that the installation is complete (see Installation) will be displayed with the following information:
Attention!
When starting the software solution, the authorization window will open.
Specify the following default values:
- Username: root
- Password: root
When you start the Axxon One Client for the first time (see Starting the client), after authorizing in the system using the root user credentials, you must set a password that meets the requirements (see Security policy):
Note

- at least four special characters: . , : ; ! ? \ | / ( ) [ ] { } + − = < >" @ ' # * $ ` % ^ & _ ~.
Attention!
You must securely save the new password.
