To configure the Stop In Area, do the following:
- Create the required detection tool and specify its parameters (see Creating detection tools).
- Below the created detection tool, click Create… → Stop In Area.
By default, the detection tool is enabled and triggers when an object stops moving in the area and remains stationary for a specified time.
Note
The object doesn't have to be completely stationary, slight shaking is allowed.
If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:
Parameter | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
Other | ||
Enable | Yes | The detection tool is enabled by default. To disable the detection tool, select the No value |
No | ||
Name | Stop In Area | Enter the detection tool name or leave the default name |
Event hold time (sec) | 2 | Note The parameter is taken into account only if the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. Specify the time period in seconds when events will be held when responding to a group of objects. The value must be in the range [0, 86400] |
Type | Stop In Area | Name of the detection tool type (non-editable field) |
Advanced settings | ||
X-axis offset | 15 | Specify the X-axis and Y-axis offsets as a percentage of the track area to set the area of the detection tool triggering. The values must be in the range [1, 50] |
Y-axis offset | 10 | |
Basic settings | ||
Maximum object height | 100 | Specify the maximum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Attention! The values of the maximum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Area. |
Maximum object width | 100 | Specify the maximum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Attention! The values of the maximum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Area. |
Minimum object height | 0.1 | Specify the minimum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Attention! The values of the minimum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Area. |
Minimum object width | 0.1 | Specify the minimum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Attention! The values of the minimum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Area. |
Number of alarm objects | 2 | Note The parameter is taken into account only if the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. Specify the number of objects that can cause the detection tool triggering. The value must be in the range [1, 100] |
Object class | All classes | Select the object class that must trigger the detection tool. The default value is All classes Note
|
Vehicle | ||
Person | ||
Stop in area duration | 0 | Specify the time in seconds during which the object is stationary for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0, 3600] Attention!
|
Trigger on group of objects | Yes | The parameter is disabled by default. If you want the detection tool to trigger only for a group of objects, select the Yes value Note
For example, you select the Person object class, the Number of alarm objects is 2, the Event hold time (sec) is 2 seconds, and the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. If the detection tool detects the first person and detects the others within two seconds, these people are considered a group and the detection tool will trigger. |

By default, the entire frame is the detection area. In the preview window, you can specify the detection areas using the anchor points (see Configuring the Detection Zone).
Note
- For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
- The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.
