Configuring detection tool

To configure the Move From Area To Area, do the following:

  1. Create the required detection tool and specify its parameters (see Creating detection tools).
  2. Below the created detection tool, click Create…  Move From Area To Area.

By default, the detection tool is enabled and triggers when an object leaves one area and enters another area.

If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription
Other
EnableYesThe detection tool is enabled by default. To disable the detection tool, select the No value
No
NameMove From Area To AreaEnter the detection tool name or leave the default name
TypeMove From Area To AreaName of the detection tool type (non-editable field)
Advanced settings
X-axis offset15Specify the X-axis and Y-axis offsets as a percentage of the track area to set the area of the detection tool triggering. The values must be in the range [1, 50]
Y-axis offset10
Basic settings
Event hold time (sec)2

Note

The parameter is taken into account only if the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled.

This is the time period during which the detection tool waits for the next objects after the first object in the group is detected. If the specified number of objects (specified in the Number of alarm objects parameter) are detected within this time period, the detection tool triggers. If no additional objects are detected within the specified time period, the detection tool doesn't trigger.
Specify the time period in seconds when events will be held when responding to a group of objects. The value must be in the range [0, 86400]

Maximum object height100

Specify the maximum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Attention!

The values of the maximum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Move From Area To Area.

Maximum object width100

Specify the maximum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Attention!

The values of the maximum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Move From Area To Area.

Maximum speed500

Specify the maximum object speed per second for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0, 500]

Note

  • In Axxon One, speed is a conditional value that is calculated using values of different dimensions. The speed calculation algorithm takes into account both the frame width and its height.
  • For a visual understanding of the speed values, we recommend specifying the speed when searching the archive (see Configuring minimum and maximum object speed).
Minimum object height0.1

Specify the minimum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Attention!

The values of the minimum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Move From Area To Area.

Minimum object width0.1

Specify the minimum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to trigger. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Attention!

The values of the minimum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Move From Area To Area.

Minimum speed0

Specify the minimum object speed per second for the detection tool to trigger.

Number of alarm objects2

Note

The parameter is taken into account only if the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled.

This number determines the minimum number of objects that are considered a group and can cause the detection tool triggering.
Specify the number of objects that can cause the detection tool triggering. The value must be in the range [1, 100]

Object classAll classes

Select the object class that must trigger the detection tool. The default value is All classes

Note

  • When you create the Entrance In Area detection tool below the Object Tracker and select the Person value, the detection tool won't trigger if it detects the movement of several people nearby.
  • When you create the Entrance In Area detection tool below the Category: Vehicle detection tools, the Object class parameter must have the All classes value.
Vehicle
Person
Trigger on group of objectsYes

The parameter is disabled by default. If you want the detection tool to trigger only for a group of objects, select the Yes value

Note

  • The group of objects that must cause the detection tool to trigger is specified in the Object class parameter.
  • The number of objects that is considered a group is specified in the Number of alarm objects parameter.
  • Waiting time for the next objects after the first object from the group is detected is specified in the Event hold time (sec) parameter.

For example, you select the Person object class, the Number of alarm objects is 2, the Event hold time (sec) is 2 seconds, and the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. If the detection tool detects the first person and detects the others within two seconds, these people are considered a group and the detection tool will trigger.

To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply  button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.

Configuring detection areas

To configure detection areas, do the following:

  1. In the preview window, specify two areas. The detection tool will trigger if any object moves from one area to the other in the specified direction.
By default, the areas are located on the right side and the left side of the video image. The anchor points of each area are connected by a two-color dotted line. You can resize the area by dragging its anchor points . To move the entire area, left click and drag its border. To add anchor points, click
  2. In the preview window, specify the directions of the object movement. The direction of movement between the areas is indicated by a dotted arrow. To change the direction of movement, click  on the direction arrow. The available directions are:
    1. Left.
    2. Right.
    3. Both directions.
  3. Click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.

Note

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
