The Perspective enhances detection tools performance and helps evaluate real sizes of objects based on simplified calibration system.
Attention!
If you use video cameras with strong perspective distortion (for example, fisheye), then object calibration will work incorrectly.
To configure the perspective, do the following:
Select the Object tracker object.
Select Yes in the Object calibration option (1).
In the Leveling rod height field (2), enter the height of the calibration object on the video image in decimeters.
- Click the in the preview window. button
- Set the size of the same object in different areas of the field of view:
To create a calibration rod, add two anchor points by left-clicking on the video image.
Set at least three calibration rods which must not be located on the same line.
You can resize the rod by stretching its anchor points drag-and-drop.
, and move it on screen usingAttention!
Meet the following requirements when configuring the calibration rods:
- rods should be evenly distributed throughout the frame: the larger the area they cover, the more accurate the calibration;
- rods that are equally distant from the camera lens must be the same size;
- all bases of the rods must be on the same plane (for example, the floor);
- a rod should be exactly the same size as the object, which serves as a template for the calibration rod;
- in complex scenes, it is recommended to add more than three rods, but no more than 10-15 rods per frame.
Note
For your convenience, you can click the
button to freeze the video frame and configure the perspective on a still snapshot. To undo, click this button again.To delete the calibration rod, click the
button.
- Click the Apply button.
Perspective is now configured.
Note
These settings will apply for all Scene Analytics detection tools on the selected camera.
