It is necessary to update Windows OS and its components to ensure the correct operation of Axxon One. Otherwise, unexpected errors and system malfunctions may occur.

You can update Windows OS automatically (see the official Microsoft documentation).

For Servers, it is necessary to define a maintenance period during which the downloaded updates can be installed manually after Axxon One is safely shut down.

If automatic update is not configured, you should check for updates at least once a week. Typically, important updates are released monthly. You can check the updates using the Windows Update service (see Get the latest Windows update).

Regardless of the options you choose, some updates are not installed automatically. These include optional updates and updates that require you to accept new terms of use. When these updates become available, the Windows Update service will notify you that they are ready to be installed.

In some cases, it may be necessary to install specific Windows OS updates to ensure the Axxon One operation (see Installation, Error when installing Drivers Pack).
