Attention!

If you enable this method of receiving notifications, it will consume more of the Android device battery and load the network. You can use this method of receiving notifications only when absolutely necessary.

We recommend using push notifications to receive notifications (see Configuring push notifications in the AxxonNet mobile client on Android OS). If, for some reason, it is not possible to use push notifications, you can receive notifications from the Server by periodically polling the Server directly.

To configure receiving local notifications, do the following:

  1. Go to the Profile tab.
  2. Select the button in the upper right corner of the screen. As a result, the Local notifications window will be displayed.
  3. Enable the local notification service (1).
  4. If you want the background notification service to turn on automatically after the Android device restart, set the Start on device boot checkbox (2).
  5. If you want to receive events only from certain cameras, select one or several required cameras (3).
  6. If you selected the Axxon One Server as the polled Server and you want to receive only certain types of events, select one or several required event types (4).

    Note

The Event type parameter isn't available if you select the Axxon PSIM Server.

  7. Select the time interval for polling the Server (5). The default is 10 seconds.

    Note

Events of the Car number recognized type enter the database with a delay of about 10 seconds. To receive events of this type, you must increase the polling interval to 10 seconds or more.

As a result, the notification from the background notification service will be displayed on the Android device notification panel. It will periodically poll the specified Server for new events.

If you tap on the received event notification, you will go to viewing the camera archive at the time of the start of this alarm event.

To stop the background notification service, select Stop in the notification or go to the service settings and disable the local notification service.
