Requirements for the operation of the Vehicle Recognition XR are given in the table:

Camera
  • Minimum resolution is 640*480, recommended resolution is 1280x720px
  • Minimum frame rate is 15 FPS, recommended frame rate is 2530 FPS
  • Autofocus and zoom functions are desirable (for making small adjustments after the detection tool is configured)

Attention!

Correct operation of the detection tool isn't guaranteed if you use frames that were masked before they got into Axxon One by an IP camera or similar methods.

Lighting
  • Lighting in the scene is at least 50 lux. In conditions of insufficient or excessive lighting (night or light-striking), stable operation of the analytics isn't guaranteed
  • No abrupt changes in lighting
Scene and camera angle
  • To achieve the highest accuracy, set up the camera to capture only one lane of traffic, preferably the one closest to the camera (dual lanes are possible if the camera is positioned between two lanes)
  • Maximum horizontal tilt angle of the camera must be no more than 15º. This is the angle from the road to the capture point
  • Working distance from the camera to the capture point must be:
    • 1520 meters for urban conditions and low speed;
    • 2030 meters for higher speed measurements
  • Camera installation height is 46 meters above the ground
  • Angle formed by the bottom line of a license plate and the horizon line must be between 0º and 20º
  • Camera must not be installed near road bends, speed bumps, road junctions, traffic lights or roundabouts, as vehicles are likely to accelerate or decelerate at these locations. Detection area must not be on a curve in the road

  • No labels
