The settings panel of the Videogate system object is shown in the figure.
The table describes the setting parameters of the Videogate system object.
№
| Parameter | Method for setting the parameter value | Parameter description | Representation | Default value | Value range |
1 | Identification number* | Automatically | Displays the identification number of the Videogate system object | Sequence of numbers | NA | From 1 to 2147483647. Depends on the number of the Videogate objects in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture |
2 | Name* | Enter the value in the field | Sets the name of the Videogate object in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture | Latin, Cyrillic, and service characters | Videogate | A line containing a sequence of any characters (letters, digits, service characters except > and < characters), case-insensitive. Number of characters—from 1 to 60 |
3 | Disable | Set the checkbox | Disables the Videogate object in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the Videogate object is disabled and isn't used Clear—the Videogate object is enabled and used |
4 | Computer | Select the value from the list | Sets the Computer parent object for the given Videogate object | Name of the Computer objects registered in the system | Name of the Computer parent object | Depends on the number of the Computer objects in the system |
5 | All | Click the button | Selects all video cameras registered in the system for transmitting the video signals through the Videogate | NA | NA | NA |
6 | Range | Click the button | Gives the access to the complex selection of cameras for transmitting video signals through the Videogate | NA | NA | NA |
The Camera* table | ||||||
7 | Number | Select the value from the list | Sets the number of the camera for transmitting video signals through the Videogate | Sequence of numbers | NA | Depends on the number of cameras registered in the system |
8 | Name | Select the value from the list | Sets the name of the camera for transmitting video signals through the Videogate | Names of the cameras registered in the system | NA | Depends on the number of cameras registered in the system |
9 | Stream for archive | Select the value from the list | Sets the video stream to record the archive of the Videogate module | Names of streams transmitted by the server | NA | Depends on the number of the streams configured on the server |
10 | Compression | Select the value from the list | Sets the level of video signal compression for transmitting through the Videogate. If the value is set, the additional consumption of the server resources occurs | Sequence of numbers | NA | In order of increasing the compression level from 0 to 5. 0—no compression 5—maximum compression |
11 | Compressor | Select the value from the list | Sets the algorithm to compress the video stream, used to recompress the video signal when transmitting through the Videogate. If the compressor is specified, you should select the value in the Compression drop-down list | List of available algorithms | NA | MJPEG, Motion Wavelet 3.5, MPEG4. If you select compression and don't select Compressor, the Motion Wavelet algorithm is used |
12 | fps | Enter the value in the field | Sets the video signal frame rate for transmitting through the Videogate | Sequence of numbers | NA | No less than 0.01, but no more than the rate of the video signal digitized by the video capture card. For detailed information about determining the current video signal frame rates, see Frame rate settings |
13 | Critical rate | Enter the value in the field | Sets the minimum permissible rate of the video signal frame's arrival in the Videogate to control the transmission of the video signal through the local network | Sequence of numbers | NA | No more than the frame rate of the video signal that is transmitted to the Videogate |
14 | Gate | Select the value from the list | Sets the Videogate object from which the video signal from the selected camera must be transmitted to the given Videogate. Attention! The selected Videogate object must differ from the configured one, otherwise there will be no video transmission via the Videogate | Names of the Videogate objects registered in the system | NA | Depends on the number of the Videogate objects registered in the system |
15 | Backup archive | Select the value from the list | Sets the Backup archive object, from which the archive from the selected camera must be transmitted to the given Videogate | Names of the Backup archive objects registered in the system | NA | Depends on the number of the Backup archive objects registered in the system |
16 | Store no more than (hours) | Enter the value in the field | Sets the time period in hours, after which it is necessary to delete the recordings of the corresponding camera from the Videogate | Sequence of numbers | NA | >0 |
The Discs for storing video archives* table
17 | Video | Set the checkbox | Sets the disk for storing the archive of the video signals transmitted through the Videogate | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the disk is used for storing the archive of the Videogate module Clear—the disk isn't used for storing the archive of the Videogate module |
18 | Disk | Automatically | Displays the names of the local (network, USB) disks available for storing the archive of the Videogate module | Names of the available disks (Latin characters) | NA | Depends on the total number of the available disks |
19 | GB | Automatically | Displays the information about free space on every available disk | Disk space in GB | NA | Depends on the amount of free disk space |
The Settings of recording to archive group
20 | Constant recording | Set the checkbox | Enables constant recording on all cameras added to the Videogate | Boolean type | Clear | Set—constant recording is enabled on all cameras added to the Videogate Clear—recording is enabled on the cameras that are recorded on the server |
21 | Active cameras | Set the checkbox | Enables recording only on the cameras the video stream from which is requested and displayed on the Video surveillance monitor | Boolean type | Clear | Set—recording is enabled on the cameras, the video stream from which is requested (displayed) on the Video surveillance monitor Clear—recording is enabled on the cameras that are recorded on the server |
