The settings panel of the Monitor object is shown in the figures.

Monitor

Select the value from the list

Sets the number of the physical monitor, the coordinates for which are set. The monitors are numbered in the order of their physical location from left to right, from top to bottom. The 1st monitor is the one in the upper left corner regardless of which monitor is set as main or what number the monitor has in OS.

In the figure below, the monitor numbers in OS are given in gray while the numbers in Axxon PSIM are red.

Attention!

We recommend setting the same resolution for all monitors in the system. Different resolution is only allowed if all monitors are aligned along any border (for example, upper border)

Display

Select the value from the list

Sets the mode for processing the video signals from the cameras by the graphics card

Names of the display modes

Opengl

  • Opengl is selected by default. This mode uses the most advanced Windows graphics libraries for rendering 2D and 3D graphics;
  • Direct3D is the recommended mode that uses the most advanced Windows graphics libraries. Use this mode when it is necessary to display the video from the fisheye cameras or the signal decoded using Intel QuickSync technology
  • DirectDraw is used if the graphics card doesn't support Direct3D;
  • Softwarevideo signals aren't processed by the graphics card. It is used if Axxon PSIM is installed on a virtual platform

Active camera

Sets in the position

Min

Enter the value intthe field

Sets the minimum number of video cameras windows that can be displayed on the Monitor in the Alarm camers mode. If the number of the alarm cameras is less than the minimum number, the Monitor will display fewer cameras than specified in the Min field. At the same time, the Monitor fold will remain consistent with the Min field

Keep camera ratio

Set the checkbox

Sets the ratio of the width and height of the video image in the surveillance windows on the Video surveillance monitor

Clearvideo image fits the entire area of the Surveillance window, while the ratio may be affected

Show captions

Set the checkbox

Shows the captions for the cameras of the Monitor interface window.

In large distributed systems, we recommend disabling captions on those monitors where you don't want to show captions.

This checkbox also affects the display of frames around detected objects or abandoned objects (see Smart video detection tools operation) when viewing archive:

Setthe Captions submenu is available in the context menu of the Monitor interface window, captions are displayed. The frames generated by the VMDA smart video detectors are displayed

Smoothing

Set the checkbox

It is used when it is required to display video with greater resolution on which the ladder effect appears when displaying in the small window.

Note. When this feature is enabled, the CPU load of the computer where the display is performed increases. We recommend displaying video from analog cameras or low-resolution video only

PTZ control

Sets the priority to control the PTZ devices using the Monitor object
