Vector maps in Axxon One

To add a new map, do the following:

  1. Do one of the following four actions:

    1. In the lower-left part of the screen, click the button.
    2. Click the button to open the context menu of the layouts panel and select the Add map item.
    3. Right-click the empty background of the map, and from the map context menu, select the Add new map item.

    4. Select a camera from the list on the cameras panel with a mouse cursor and, while holding down the mouse button, move the cursor to the empty map background and then release the mouse button. The action is available if no maps have been created in the system.

  2. In the Name field, enter the name of the map.

  3. In the Type field, select what will be used as a map (see Vector maps in Axxon One):

    1. Bitmap or vector image.
    2. Google:
      1. Google Hybrid;
      2. Google Map;
      3. Google Satellite.
    3. OpenStreetMap.

  4. If you select the Bitmap or vector image type of the map, click the button next to the Image field, and select a file that will be used as a graphic plan of the protected territory.
    Supported formats:

    1. Bitmap: PNG, JPG, JPEG, JPE, GIF, BMP.

    2. Vector image: SVG.

      • The maximum image size is four million pixels (the number of pixels at 2000x2000 resolution). If you select a larger image, a map won't be created.
      • If you don't select an image, a map with a white background will be created.
      • The file size must not exceed 4 MB.

  5. If you use a geomap, in the Address field, enter the address, zip code, or geographical coordinates of the required territory on the Google map or OpenStreetMap and click the button. You can scale the map with the scale slider or the mouse wheel. You can move on the map in the common way.

  6. From the Share map drop-down list, select the users for whom the map will be available:
    1. Any user.
    2. Not shared—only for the current user.
    3. Roles—for the users of the selected roles.
  7. Click the button. To cancel adding a map, click the button.
