On the Detection Tools tab, you can check whether the detection tools are being triggered. To do this:

  1. In the list of detection tools, select the one that you want to check.

    The detection tool should be enabled and configured.

  2. Reproduce an event upon the occurrence of which the detection tool should be triggered: the start of movement in the frame, turning the video camera, sending sound to an audio device, etc.
  3. If the detection tool is configured correctly, video frames from the camera corresponding to the detection tool will be displayed on the trigger ribbon, indicating the time they were received.

If the archive recording is not configured for the camera corresponding to the detection tool (see Configuring recording to an archive), then the trigger ribbon will not contain video frames, because they are taken from archive recordings.

VMS checks the on/off status of detection tools when they triggered and stopped. Not applicable to detection of: quality loss, position change, disappearance of an object, motion stop and ANPR.  

After the end of triggering, the Finished message is displayed.


Checking the triggering of a detection tool is now complete.
