The RR software module supports the following functionality:
- License plate recognition.
- Saving the recognized license plates to the database of the license plate recognizer.
- Identification and logging the speed of the vehicle to the license plate database (by video or using the Speed traps server module).
- Check of recognized license plates against the connected search databases.
- Ability to work with multi-lane driveways (recognition of up to 10 vehicle license plates in one frame).
- Saving the frames of the recognized license plates for debugging in BMP, JPEG, and AVI formats.

Depending on the type of license, the RR software module can work in one of the following modes:
Slow — the module processes 6 frames per second, evenly thinning the processed video stream in case of a higher camera frame rate. Recognizes the license plates of the vehicles moving at a speed of no more than 20 km/h.
Fast — the module processes 25 frames per second, evenly thinning the processed video stream in case of a higher camera frame rate. Recognizes the license plates of the vehicles moving at a speed of no more than 150 km/h.
