Note

VA and VideoIntellect 1.1 recognition modules have many settings that are set in the OS Windows registry (see Registry keys reference guide).

SDK VA 20240702-r3 is installed along with Face PSIM starting with the 8.2.0.829 version. When you update Face PSIM to the already installed SDK VA 20230804_r1 version (selected by default), the new SDK VA 20240702-r3 version is added. You can select SDK VA 20240702-r3 manually from the drop-down list.

To select the used VA SDK, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Recognition module VA object.
  2. From the Version drop-down list, select the required VA SDK version.

    Note

    • When you change the SDK version, the regeneration of biometric vectors will automatically start (for more details, see Switching between the face recognition modules or SDK versions).
    • In Face PSIM, when you select the SDK version, all possible versions will be displayed, even if they aren't installed. To ensure the correct operation, you must select the installed SDK version.
    • If you use a processor with Intel AMX manuals along with OS Windows Server 2019 on the server, then starting with the SDK 20240702_r3 version and higher, the VA recognition module won't operate. For proper operation, we recommend updating the OS to the Windows Server 2022 version.
  3. Click the Apply button.

You can see the current version of the VA SDK in the Face recognition and search interface module on the Statistics tab in the Version/Vector size (bytes) field (see Displaying the statistics).
