In Axxon One, you can link video to the objects shown on a map. The feature is available in immersion mode (see Immersion mode).
To link a video to a map, set the attachment points. You must link the objects in the video to their depiction on the map of the protected facility.
To configure video image in immersion mode, do the following:
- Switch to the layout editing mode (see Switching to layout editing mode).
- Switch to immersion mode (see Immersion mode). To do this, click the camera icon on the map, its field of view, or the video display area.
- To add attachment points, left-click the video image. You must add at least six attachment points.
- As soon as you add the sixth point or more, the button can appear to calibrate attachment points on the map. The button appears if the calibration is allowed.
Attention!
When you set points on an image, follow the rules:
- All four points must belong to the same horizontal plane. We recommend placing points on the floor or on the ground.
- Don't place three points on one line.
- Points must show the perspective of the plane.
- When you set the fourth link, it is possible that you can't place the second point in some areas. It is due to the system that fails to find a valid angle to display the video and map at given links. Most likely, you set the links incorrectly.
After you add the fourth link, an angle is selected so that the surveillance objects in the video and on the map coincide. As soon as you add all the links, you can change the location of the set points by dragging them while holding down the left mouse button.
To remove a link, place the cursor above a point and click the button. The calibration is recalculated if you remove one point.
Attention!
After you update from the previous versions to the 3.0 version, the attachment points that used to link the camera to the map are discarded. You must set the attachment points again.
To save links between the video and the map, quit the layout editing mode and save the changes. The links you make are discarded if at least one of the following actions is executed before you quit and save the changes:
- change the position of the camera icon on the map;
- change the angle of display of the video display area for the camera on the map.
- change the field of view of the camera on the map in any way.
