To ensure the correct operation of Axxon One, we recommend configuring the antivirus as follows:
Add the following processes to the exclusion list:
Regardless of the antivirus software that you use, when you install, start, and use Axxon One, your antivirus software may ask for permission for the software components to perform internet access. We recommend that you allow these components to do so for proper operation of the application.
Recommendations for the specific antivirus software are given below.
If you use ESET NOD32 antivirus, we strongly recommend either disabling the Web Access Protection service or adding the IP addresses of the IP cameras to the list of exclusions for antivirus scanning.
See also Start the client.
If you use ESET NOD32 Internet Security antivirus and the SSL/TLS protocol filtering is enabled, we strongly recommend either adding the certificate file to the list of known certificates or adding the Axxon One.exe app to the list of exclusions for antivirus scanning.
If you use ESET Smart Security antivirus, select automatic mode with exclusions for the firewall and add the remote servers to the exclusions by creating network rules (for help with creating these rules, refer to the official user guide for the antivirus software).
When you install Axxon One, allow the NetHost.exe and ngpsh.exe processes to run. If you use AVG antivirus and a configuration with many cameras, we strongly recommend adding the IP addresses of the IP cameras to the list of exclusions. Otherwise, the avgsa.exe process can severely slow down the CPU. You can perform this action only on the paid version of AVG.
If you use DrWeb antivirus, do the following before installing Axxon One:
If you use DrWeb antivirus in the Linux OS, before you start Axxon One, we recommend adding the /opt/AxxonSoft directory to the exclusion list.
When you install files from the repository using apt/apt-get, temporarily disable the SpiDer Gate module, as it can interfere with loading (see Linux OS Administrator's guide, Installing the server from repository, Installing the Axxon One Client from repository).
If you use antivirus software in the Linux OS, before you start Axxon One, we recommend adding the /opt/AxxonSoft directory to the exclusion list.
