Embedded motion detection detects discrepancies between the current frame and a static background. When motion is detected in the frame, the embedded detector generates an alarm event.

To configure the embedded motion detection:

  1. Go to the Detectors tab.

  2. Below the required camera, select the embedded motion detection.
  3. Set the parameters specified in the table:
    ParameterValueDescription
    Other
EnableYesBy default, the embedded detector is enabled. To disable it, select the No value
    No
NameEmbedded motion detectionEnter the detector name or leave the default name
Enable synchronization events with a video streamNo

The default value is No. All streams are synchronized with the system time individually. If you want all streams to be bound to the timecode of the high-quality stream, set the Yes value

    Sensitivity55

Set the sensitivity of the embedded detector in conditional units. You must select the appropriate value empirically. The higher the value, the lower the sensitivity. The value must be in the range [0, 100]

    Threshold10

Set the threshold of the embedded detector. You must select the appropriate value empirically. The value must be in the range [0, 100]

    Basic Settings
    Delay time5

Set the delay time after which the camera begins recording when the embedded motion detector generates an event. The value must be in the range [0, 100]

  4. To save the parameters of the detector, click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.
