By default, the video stream is recorded to the archive with the same frame rate as the video capture card digitizes it. Thus, in Axxon PSIM, you can configure the value of this parameter.

Note

The change of the video stream frame rate doesn't affect the video signal that is displayed on the server surveillance monitor and transmitted to the remote workstations by the network.

To change the frame rate of the video stream, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings window.
  2. Select the Camera object in the object tree that corresponds to the adjusted camera.
  3. Select the Basic settings tab on the settings panel of the Camera object.
  4. Set the value of the Recording frame_fps parameter. This value mustn't exceed the digitization frame rate value.

The value set for the Recording frame_fps parameter allows calculating the time interval (msec) in which a frame must be captured for archive recording. You can calculate according to the formula:
Time interval = 1000 / Value specified in the Recording frame_fps field

    Note

When you set the value of the Recording frame_fps parameter, you must note the video digitizing rate by the video capture card and the frame rate (fps) settings in the system. Otherwise, the actual recording speed can differ from the set one.
  5. Click the Apply button.

Setting the frame rate of the video stream is complete.
