The system restart service is designed to control the workability of Axxon PSIM software modules and their restart if there is no response during the specified time interval. You can use both the program and the hardware workability control.

Attention!

The system restart service displays only those Axxon PSIM modules the processes of which are created directly under the PSIM_Host.exe process, which, in its turn, is running under the Psim.exe process

Note

To control the workability of the RTSP Server module, use the special utility and script, see The openRTSP.exe utility for checking the RTSP server workability.

The system restart service allows performing the following actions if there is no response from the module:

  1. Restarting a computer (the hardware workability control requires the connection of additional devices). In this case, the computer restarts if the PSIM_Host.exe process isn't active.
  2. Restarting a module. In this case, if there is no response from the module, then only the module that doesn't respond to requests restarts.
  3. Restarting a core. In this case, the Axxon PSIM core restarts if there is no response from the module.

You can configure the system restart service on the settings panel of the System restart service object. This object is created on the basis of the Computer object on the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog window.
