The Security zone object is used for the general configuration of Axxon PSIM.

The settings panel of the Security zone object is shown in the figures with tabs. The tables describe the settings.

The Events archive length days

Enter the value in the field

Sets the number of days to store information about the events registered by Axxon PSIM and recorded into both the event viewer and the incident server. This parameter affects all computers in a distributed system

Sets the number of the access control card, which is automatically displayed in the settings panel of the User object when the object is created in the Object code field

The Starting configuration

The Connections in architecture checkbox

Set the checkbox

Sets the computers with which the Computer object must exchange the data about the system configuration parameters: with all computers in the video surveillance system with distributed architecture or only with the Computer object on the basis of which the given object is created

Setwhen you create a new computer, the Connection checkboxes on the Architecture tab are set for all computers in the architecture

The DNS instead of IP allowed

Set the checkbox

Sets the address of the server/Remote Administrator’s workstation/Remote client on the Architecture tab as DNS name, not only IP address

Set—when you configure the interaction of the computers in the distributed system, you can specify the DNS name of the server/Remote Administrator’s workstation/Remote client instead of its IP address on the Architecture tab. At the same time, the verification of the entered address is disabled

Note. For servers, this value is saved automatically in the CheckPingPeriod parameter. For the Remote client, you can specify the value manually in the CheckPingPeriod parameter (see Registry keys reference guide)

The Internal synchronization: offline

Enables the offline synchronization of events

Set—the offline synchronization is enabled. When the computer is reconnected, it gets all events for the no-connection time period

Clear—the offline synchronization is disabled. When the computer is reconnected, it doesn't get the events for the no-connection time period

The Internal synchronization: online

Set—the online synchronization is enabled. Events are sent right after they occur according to the configuration parameters of the computer interaction in the distributed system
