Depending on the operator’s rights, the features for working with the hidden archive can be available in the video surveillance monitor. Viewing the hidden archive can also be available (see Rights to work with the hidden archive).
The hidden archive functionality is available for the archive of the main server, the backup archive, and the videogate archive (see Modes of working with archives).
If the operator has the rights to view the hidden archive, then the hidden archive videos are displayed crossed out in the list of videos and can be viewed the same way as the ordinary archive videos. If there are no rights, then hidden archive videos are not displayed.
Right-click the archive video and select Prohibit viewing to hide the archive video.
Right-click the archive video and select Allow viewing to unhide the archive video.
If a video is marked as hidden, then it is recorded in the index file that is located in the INDEX_DATA folder, named the same as the index file in the INDEX folder but with the .data extension.
In this case, the INDEX_DATA\07111916.data corresponds to the INDEX\07111916.idx index. The .data file exists if there is at least one hidden video per hour. The .data file is removed along with the .idx file and is not changed during reindexing, as it contains the primary information. In Axxon PSIM versions older than 1.0.0, the archive is played back as usual.
