Administrator's Guide is a reference and information guide intended for system administrators, installation and configuration specialists, and users with administrative rights to digital video surveillance and audio monitoring systems created on the basis of Axxon PSIM.
This guide contains the following materials:
Axxon PSIM is designed to create industrial, scalable, flexible, and adaptable integrated security systems based on digital video surveillance and audio monitoring systems.
Axxon PSIM has the following basic features:
We recommend using Axxon PSIM as a basic software environment for industrial distributed integrated security systems and automated control systems at large, multifaceted facilities with a large number of monitored positions and a wide range of monitored parameters.
Licensing of Axxon PSIM is implemented through hardware and software protection.
Axxon PSIM software protection is built on one of the following components:
The software component of the security system includes an activation key that links the security hardware with the software modules. The list of available software modules depends on the security system's configuration and is specified in the activation key.
When you expand the system configuration (for example, when you install a new functional subsystem), in order to activate the functions of the software module corresponding to the subsystem being installed, you must replace the previous activation key with a new one that will regulate the updated functional capabilities of the system.
When you use a distributed architecture, a single activation key is used for all computers in the system.
Attention!
When you replace a video capture card, its dallas codes change, so you must replace the old activation key with a new one. When you use a distributed architecture, the activation key must be replaced on all computers in the system.
