Axxon PSIM can operate on the following virtual machines:
Virtual machine | Client OS | Additional information |
|---|---|---|
| VMware Workstation Pro 15.5.1 | see Operating system requirements | Neural analytics can be used (including Neural filter, Neural tracker, as well as Fire and Smoke detectors—see the Detector Pack subsystem documentation in the AxxonSoft documentation repository) USB device forwarding to a virtual machine via the virtual machine is available. Operation with the hardware keys of Carmen-freeFlow, Carmen-parking, VIT, Auto-Uragan LPR modules, as well as Guardant is available |
VMware Workstation 17.5.0 | USB device forwarding to a virtual machine via the virtual machine is available. Operation with hardware keys of Carmen-freeFlow, Carmen-parking, VIT, Auto-Uragan LPR modules, as well as Guardant is available | |
VMware ESXi 6.7.0 | USB device forwarding to a virtual machine via the virtual machine is available. Operation with hardware keys of Carmen-freeFlow, Carmen-parking, VIT, Auto-Uragan LPR modules, as well as Guardant is available | |
Hyper-V 10.0.22621 | You can use third-party programs, for example, USBoverLAN to forward USB devices in this virtual machine |
Note
Officially, the Carmen software module does not support the operation on virtual machines, although the Carmen software module operates on VMware and VirtualBox, as they can control USB devices properly.
Use general requirements for computers in order to determine the requirements for RAM, processor, and so on. Take into account that the performance of virtual systems is less efficient than that of real systems, so the estimated number of cameras must be reduced accordingly. Get more details from the sales department in your AxxonSoft branch.
Note
To implement other devices to the virtual machine, see the documentation of the corresponding virtual machine.
Attention!
The following restrictions are imposed when Axxon PSIM is working on virtual machines:
