When you work with Axxon PSIM, you can use the following devices as audio input:

  1. FS/WS/FX/VRC video capture cards. These cards support simultaneous digitization of 1 to 16 audio signals, depending on the type of card used. The list of video capture cards compatible with Axxon PSIM and their features is given in Guide for installing and configuring security system components.
  2. Standard sound cards, including cards integrated into the motherboard. Standard sound cards typically support simultaneous digitization of up to two audio signals.
  3. Multichannel sound cards and converters for digitization of outgoing audio signals from microphones and telephone lines, software and hardware systems for the digital audio registration, and so on. You can find an updated list of multichannel audio inputs that are compatible with Axxon PSIM here.
  4. IP devices. You can find an updated list of IP devices for audio input that are compatible with Axxon PSIM, as well as their specific application features, here.
    The IP device must transfer audio data in one of the following formats:
    • G.711
    • G.726
    • AAC
    • PCM
    • MPEG2 LAYER2 (MP2L2)
    • IMA ADPCM
