In Axxon PSIM, you can configure the synchronization of the video archive of the main and backup servers. In this case, after you restore the main server, the video archive will be transferred from the backup server using the Backup archive module.

Attention!

Only video recordings without audio are moved during the archive synchronization of the backup and main servers. In this case, if you configure the synchronous recording of video and audio, then when you transmit an archive from the backup server to the main one, the audio will be lost, and only video files without audio will be on the main server.

To use the archive synchronization mechanism, create the Backup archive object on the basis of the same Computer object as the Failover service object.

Enable cooperation with the failover service on the settings panel of the Backup archive object (see Enabling cooperation of Backup archive with Failover service).

To configure synchronization on the main server, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Computer object corresponding to the main server.
  2. Go to the Archive synchronization tab.
  3. Configure the list of cameras, the archive of which must be synchronized when you restore the main server:
    1. From the Number dropdown list, select the camera ID.
    2. From the Name dropdown list, select the camera name.
    3. From the Backup archive dropdown list, select the name of the Backup archive object configured to cooperate with the failover service and located on the backup server where the selected camera is transferred to if the main server fails.

      Attention!

This step is mandatory. If you don't select the Backup archive object, the camera isn't saved in the list. If you don't configure the backup archive, configure it first; see Configure Backup archive.

    4. Repeat steps a-c for all required cameras.
  4. Click the Apply button.

Configuring archive synchronization of the main and backup servers is complete.
