The PTZ control or Priority parameter (depending on the type of the configured object), determines the privileges to control the PTZ device when you use several interface objects to control one PTZ device or, if necessary, to control the same PTZ device by multiple users at a time.

When you configure interface objects used for the PTZ control, you must select the value of the PTZ control priority parameter from the list of suggested values.

The PTZ control parameter is set for the following objects:

  1. Surveillance monitor;
  2. Telemetry control panel;
  3. Telemetry remote control.

Note

The priority of the PTZ control with the joystick equals the priority of the PTZ control with the surveillance monitor and mouse.

The parameter of the PTZ priority control can take the following values:

  1. Control is forbidden (Forbidden). When you select this item, the control of the PTZ device via the configured object is forbidden.
  2. Low (Low priority). When you select this item, the control of the PTZ device is performed in the last turn after it is controlled by devices with the normal and high priority. This parameter has the lowest queue of the PTZ control.
  3. Normal (Normal priority). When you select this item, the control of the PTZ device is performed after it is controlled by the device with high priority. This parameter is higher in the queue of the PTZ control rather than the device with low priority.
  4. High (High priority). When you select this item, the control of the PTZ device is performed first in the queue of the PTZ control. This parameter has the highest queue of the PTZ control.

The context menu for selecting the PTZ control priority for the Monitor interface object is called PTZ control and contains the Forbidden, Low priority, Medium priority, High priority items:

The panel for selecting the PTZ control priority for the Telemetry control panel interface object and the Telemetry remote control system object is called Priority and contains the following items: Forbidden, Low priority, Normal priority, High priority.

In case when one PTZ device is controlled from several workstations via interface objects of the same type with the same priority for controlling this PTZ device, the PTZ device is controlled in the following way:

  1. Each user can control the PTZ device when it isn't controlled by another user via the interface of the same control priority.
  2. In cases when the user who controls the PTZ device via the interface object with a higher priority delegates control to the user who controls the same PTZ device via the interface object with a lower priority, then the procedure of delegating control is delayed. You can set the priority delay time using the tweaki.exe utility (Axxon PSIM Advanced Setup).

To change the delay time of the PTZ control priority with the tweaki.exe utility, do the following:

  1. Run the tweaki.exe utility located in the Tools64 folder of the Axxon PSIM installation directory.
  2. Select the PTZ section.
  3. In the Delay by priority (ms) field, specify the value of the PTZ control priority delay.
    The delay parameter is specified in milliseconds. The default value is 30000.
  4. Click the OK button to save the changes.

Note

When you configure objects, on the settings panels of which you must specify the queue parameters of the PTZ control, you must, if possible, specify different PTZ priority controls for each object (object type). If you specify the same PTZ priority controls for different objects, then problems can occur with the PTZ device control during the operation with Axxon PSIM.
