The CodeReader.exe utility allows determining the type of the video capture card installed on the computer by its dallas code(s), as well as the number of the Guardant or MatrixLock dongle. To read this information, start the utility (see the Starting and shutting down the CodeReader.exe utility section). The type of the video capture card, its dallas code(s), the number of the Guardant/MatrixLock dongle, and the HID are displayed in the field of the CodeReader.exe utility dialog window.
The number of dallas codes determined by the utility depends on the number of chips on the video capture card. The figure shows that the FS6 video capture card with two chips is used.
