The purpose of the fps.exe utility

The FPS test fps.exe utility is designed for estimating the performance of the video processing.

To estimate this performance, do the following:

1. Divide the given video fragment into the set of frames in the .jpeg format.

   Note

   If you don't specify the video fragment, the utility generates the template set of frames. If necessary, the utility can store the created set of frames to the selected directory.
2. Compression and/or decompression of the created frame set.
3. Calculation of the parameters' performance—number of frames processed per second with the specified resolution and color.
