“Data import” object is registered on the basis of “Computer” object in “Hardware” tab of “System settings” dialog box.
Data import parameters are set on setting panel of “Data import” object.
To set up data import parameters do the following:
- Go to setting panel of “Data import” object.
- Select video server to which “Data import” module will be attached (1).
- Click “Data source” in order to select ADO data source (2).
- As a result the dialog box of data resource will be displayed.
- Go to “Provider” tab and select the provider of connected data (1).
- To continue click “Next” (2).
- As a result the “Connection” tab will be displayed.
- On “Connection” tab it’s necessary to select name of server from “1. Select or enter a server name” dropdown list (1).
- To log on the server set the switch into “Use Windows NT Integrated security” position (2).
- While setting up connection to database that is on another server it’s necessary to set switch into “user name and password” position and set user name and password in corresponding fields (3).
- From “Select the database on the server” dropdown list select required database (4).
- Click “Test connection” (5).
- If the test is successful then click “OK” (6).
- As a result the selected data is displayed in “Data source” field (2).
- In “Synchronization time” field set time during which there will be daily data synchronization (3).
- In “Last synchronization date” field the date of last synchronization is displayed (4).
- To save changes click “Apply” (5).
Setting up “Data import” module in ACFA Intellect software package is completed.
