You can configure the Barcode detection module on the settings panel of the Barcode detection object that is created on the basis of the Camera object on the Hardware tab of the System settings window.

To configure the Barcode detection module, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Barcode detection object.
  2. From the Captioner drop-down list (1), select the captioner with the help of which a result is displayed on the monitor.
  3. In the Skip repeated recognitions (s) field, enter the time in seconds in which the repeated code is recognized (2).

    Note

If there are different barcodes or QR-codes one after another, the recognition is performed instantly. If there are repeated barcodes, the new result is displayed after the time period specified in the settings.

  4. Click the Settings button (3). The Detection settings window opens.
  5. Specify the detection area:
    1. Click the Stop video button to capture the video image (1).
    2. Click the Area of interest button (2).
    3. On the captured video image, set the detection area that you want to monitor. You can add only one area. When you try to add the second area, the first one is deleted. After you add an area, the remaining part of the video image is darkened.

      Note

To remove the area, click the button next to the Area of interest button.

      Attention!

Barcodes can be detected when the entire barcode or QR code is within the specified area, including its fragment.

    4. Click the OK button (3) to save the changes and return to the settings panel of the Barcode detection object.

      Note

To return to the settings panel of the Barcode detection object without saving the changes, click the Cancel button.

  6. Click the Apply button (4) on the settings panel of the Barcode detection object.

Configuring the Barcode detection module is complete.
