Operating system requirements

Monitoring PSIM is provided as executable modules that that can be run on the operation systems supported by the Axxon PSIM software (see Administrator's Guide: Operating system requirements).

The software is compatible with standard operating system settings. On Windows Vista and later, UAC must be disabled. In Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 it is necessary to configure security policies in order to entirely disable UAC (see Administrator's Guide: OS settings for correct operation of Remote Admin Workstation or Server).

For the Server of Control and the Central Server of Control to operate, there must be an available database server. During installation of Axxon PSIM, MS SQL Server 2014 Express is installed to a "clean" (fresh) system.

The Server of Control and the Central Server of Control are compatible with the following servers:

• MS SQL Server 2008 R2,
• MS SQL Server 2012,
• MS SQL Server 2014,
• MS SQL Server 2019.

When installing Intellect software on a clean (fresh) PC, MS SQL Server 2019 Express is installed as well.

Hardware requirements

Monitoring PSIM can run on PCs that meet the following minimum hardware requirements:

• Intel Core i5 750 CPU,
• 2 GB RAM,
• 200 GB HDD,
• NIC,
• Graphics card with overlay support.
