To create the Shooter detector, do the following:

  1. Create the Human pose detector (see Configuring the Human pose detector).
  2. Below the Human pose detector, click Create…  Shooter detector.

By default, the Shooter detector generates an event if a person with an arm extended forward parallel to the floor is detected in the frame.

If necessary, you can change the detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

Specify the minimum number of frames with the corresponding pose or behavior for the detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [1, 20].
The recommended (default) value is 2.
Increasing the value can help eliminate false events but increases the risk of skips. 
Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false events

If necessary, you can configure the detection area. For this, do the following:

  1. Click in the preview window.
  2. Select Detection area.
  3. Using the anchor points , set the detection area in which a person with an arm extended forward parallel to the floor must be detected.

Note

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • To hide the detection area, click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • To delete the detection area, click the button.

Click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.

Configuration of the Shooter detector is complete.
