You can protect and disable protection of a separate video from the interface of the video surveillance monitor in the surveillance window in the archive mode. To protect a video, select one or more videos in the video list, right-click the selected video, and click Protect. To select several videos, left-click the videos while holding down the Ctrl or Shift key on the keyboard.
Note
The protected video is highlighted in red in the list, and the video is moved to the PROTECTED subfolder of the VIDEO folder on the disk where the archive is stored. A bookmark is also created if the appropriate setting is configured (see List of bookmarks).
To remove protection, right-click the required video and select Remove protection.
Note
If videos from the same period as the selected one still exist on the disk, that is, the folder where the protected video was originally located still exists, the video is moved to that folder, and the video is no longer highlighted in red in the list, and it will continue to be displayed in the list. However, if the folder has already been deleted during the loop overwriting process, the video isn't displayed in the list.
