The Active Directory synchronization should be started both after connecting the Axxon PSIM users and user permissions with the corresponding Active Directory objects, and in case the Active Directory users and security groups are changed: deleted, disabled, moved to another group, etc.

The following methods of Active Directory synchronization are available:

  1. Using the Users section in Axxon PSIM.
  2. Using scripts and macros.
  3. Using the ADSyncOnStart registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

To start the Active Directory synchronization in Axxon PSIM, do the following:

  1. In the Users section (1), click the Synchronize with AD button (2).
  2. The updated structure of the Axxon PSIM users and user permissions will be displayed in the opened window (3). Set the checkboxes next to the objects that need to be synchronized.
  3. Click the OK button.

To start the Active Directory synchronization using a script or a macro, use the following values: objtype = SLAVE, action = AD_SYNC. Example: SLAVE|<Server Name>|AD_SYNC.
