Previous page Remote removal of Axxon PSIM software  Example. Consolidation of two Servers into cluster and Axxon PSIM configuration Next page

Cluster is a group of independent computers operating together as a whole system providing clients with a general set of services. Cluster enables expanding both accessibility of services and scalability and controllability of their OS.

To set up a cluster for Axxon PSIM, stick to the following rules:

  1. Axxon PSIM is to be installed on all the computers forming the cluster;
  2. Axxon PSIM configuration (paths to the installed Axxon PSIM software and video archive disks) is to be identical on all computers;
  3. All computers, forming the cluster, are to be in one network domain;
  4. All computers are to run one OS Windows Server;
  5. If the Axxon PSIM software is installed as a service, the InheritServiceEnvironment registry key must be created and set to 1 (the key is created in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AxxonSoft\PSIM\PSIMRunService section for 32-bit and in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\AxxonSoft\PSIM\PSIMRunService for 64-bit systems);
  6. the specific name and password must be used for database connection.

Note.

Nets organization and setting up order are given in the Windows Server reference manual (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/failover-clustering).
