The Display manager interface object is designed to manage the video walls. It allows the Operator to conveniently configure the Video surveillance monitor layouts on the specified computers.

The Display manager object is configured as follows:

  1. Create a Display manager object on the basis of the Display object on the Interfaces tab of the System Settings dialog box (1).
  2. The settings panel of this object will appear in the right part of the System Settings dialog box.
  3. Set the Display manager window size and position manually (2), or click the X button (3) and specify the window size and position using the Specify dimensions demo window:

After the window size and position are set, click OK.
  4. From the Monitor drop-down list (4), select the number of the computer monitor on which the Display manager window should be displayed.
  5. If it is necessary to allow the Operator to move the Display manager interface window, set the Allow moving checkbox (5).
  6. Select the computers which screens should be managed from the Display manager. To do this, select the required computers in the Available PCs list (6) and click the > (8) button to move them to the Selected PCs list (7). All available computers can be moved to the list of selected ones at once by clicking the >> button.
To move the computers from the Selected PCs list back to the Available PCs list, use the < and << buttons respectively.

    Note.

Add to this list computers on which the video signal is displayed on the Video Surveillance monitor. For example, if there is a Server computer in a distributed system with corresponding Camera objects created under it, and there is also a Client computer to which a Display with a Monitor is assigned while cameras from the Server are selected in that Monitor, then you should add the Client computer to the Selected PCs list.

  7. Select the sorting method for the cameras list: By number or By name (9).
  8. Click the Apply button (10).

Configuring the Display manager interface object is complete.
