To display camera windows (windows with video images) one of the following modes is used:
The Active camera mode. Only the active camera window is displayed in the Monitor interface window.
Note
To make the camera window active, left-click it. A camera window is switched to the active mode using another Video surveillance monitor. So, when the Active camera display mode is used, more than one Monitor object must be created in the system. If only one Monitor object is created and the Active camera display mode is selected for it, then surveillance windows won’t be displayed on the monitor.
Video from the camera selected on the Map or Operator protocol created on the basis of the same Display object as the Video surveillance monitor object is also displayed on the Video surveillance monitor in the Active camera mode.
Functions available in the List mode:
The toolbar is displayed in the Monitor interface window and enables the following operations:
Current date and time are also displayed on the toolbar.
The slideshow is used for a successive close-up display of camera windows on the Monitor. Slideshow is performed with the help of the buttons on the toolbar of the Monitor in two ways:
To set the display mode for camera windows, do the following:
In the Max field, specify the required maximum number of camera windows that must be displayed on the Monitor in the Alarm cameras or List mode (3). If the number of alarm cameras exceeds the maximum number, then the display of the camera windows, the alarms on which were registered earlier, is stopped.
Example
If the number of cameras is less than the maximum or not specified, then camera windows fill the maximum available space of the Monitor.
Note
In order for the camera windows in the Monitor to be displayed as symmetrical folds (1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, etc.), it is necessary to add the TrySquareLayout registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).
If the Alarm cameras mode is selected, then in the Min field, specify the required minimum number of cameras to be displayed on the layout of the Video surveillance monitor (4). If the number of the alarm cameras is less than the minimum number, the Monitor will display fewer cameras than specified in the Min field. The fold of the Monitor will correspond to the Min field. The following folds (number of camera windows) are available: 1, 4, 9, etc.
If there is no alarm, and if the default value of 0 (zero) is set for the Min parameter, the camera windows are not displayed in the Monitor window. By default, the Min field is empty.
Example
The Monitor object is set for operation with the minimum number of alarm cameras, equal to three. Windows of five alarm cameras are displayed in the Monitor window. When the alarm on four cameras is stopped in the sequence: Camera 1, Camera 2, Camera 3 and Camera 4, one camera is in the alarm mode. This is less than the minimum number, so Camera 5 will be displayed on the Monitor, and the Monitor will switch to the four-fold display.
If necessary, specify the required value (in seconds) of automatic slideshow of the camera windows in the Slideshow field (6). The default camera windows scroll interval is 3 second. If you enter 0 in the field, the default value will be applied. The maximum possible value is 600 seconds.
Note
This setting is relevant only in the List mode when the toolbar is used.
Instead of camera windows slideshow, you can enable layouts slideshow using the CycleByLayouts registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).
The display mode of camera windows is now configured.
