The Web-server module is used for video surveillance via a web browser and the TCP/IP communication environment.
Web-server partially provides some of the functions of an HTTP server, a gateway for transmitting video signals and control commands via the HTTP protocol.
Web-server provides the following functionality of the HTTP server:
Attention!
Web-server displays video in MJPEG format only. When video is transmitted to the Web-server, the video stream is recompressed into MJPEG format on the Web-server side, which increases the traffic when transmitting video to the Video surveillance monitor of the Web-server.
The interface of the Web-server module is represented by the Video surveillance monitor. The Video surveillance monitor of the Web-server module is located on an html page. This html page is called the Web-server home page. A Java applet is used to display the Video surveillance monitor in a web browser, as well as to control cameras and PTZ devices.
If Axxon PSIM is configured accordingly, the Web-server module requires user authorization when connecting. Access to camera monitoring and control of cameras and PTZ devices using the monitor of the Web-server module is determined by the module settings.
