Generally the procedure of configuring basic detection tools includes the following steps (except for the main motion detection tool (camera alarm detection tool), configuration procedure of which is described in Configuring Main motion detection tool section):

  1. Connecting basic detection tools. It is performed for each camera independently.
  2. Setting detection tools parameters.
  3. Testing video detection tool operation by using the video monitor.
  4. If detection tool operates improperly, go back to step 2, change the settings and test it again.
  5. If detection tool operates properly, the setup is completed.
