Previous page Video archiving procedure  Using network disks Next page

In Axxon PSIM, video is archived to a storage device. When Axxon PSIM is installed, set the local disks to save the archive to in the Hardware tab of the Computer object.

Note.

It is recommended to use disks with the NTFS file system for storing video archives. If you use the FAT32 file system, there may be problems due to the features of this file system, for instance—it has no logging.

To select the disks for the archive, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box (1).
  2. Select the Computer object corresponding to the configured Server in the objects tree of the Hardware tab (2). The settings panel for the selected object is displayed on the right of the Hardware tab. Each local disk available for archiving has the check of the same name in the Disks for storing the archive group (3).
  3. Set the relevant check in the Video column next to the disk to be selected. Local, network and USB disks are available for storing (details on adding network disks are in Using network disks section).

    Note

For the reverse effect set the checkboxes corresponding to the disk unchecked in the Video column.
  4. Click the Apply button (4).

The disks for video archive storage are now selected.

Note.

If no disk for storing video recordings is selected, the video will not be saved to the archive. In this case, the icon of the missing disk for recording the archive will appear in the lower left corner of the Surveillance window. You can hide this icon by creating the ShowDetachedState=0 registry key (see Registry keys reference guide, for more information on working with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry).
