The Map object is used to register and configure the Map interface object in Axxon PSIM, which allows creating and positioning the icons of the installed devices on the map of the protected area and using the icons to operate the devices.

The settings panel of the Map object is shown in the figure:

Table describes the setting parameters corresponding to the elements of the settings panel of the Map object.

Parameter

Method for setting the parameter value

Parameter description

Representation

Default value

Value range

1

Identification number

Automatically

Displays the identification number of the Map object in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture

Sequence of numbers

-

From 1 and above.

Depends on the number of the Map objects in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture

2

Name

Enter the value into the field

Sets the name of the Map object in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture

Latin, Cyrillic and service characters

Map

A line containing a sequence of any characters (letters, digits, service characters except > and < characters), case-insensitive.

Number of charactersfrom 1 to 60

3

Disable

Set the checkbox

Sets the status of the Map object in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture

Boolean type

Clear

Setthe Map object is disabled and isn't used

Clearthe Map object is enabled and used

4

Display

Select the value from the list

Sets the Display parent object of the digital system with distributed architecture to which the given Map object belongs

Name of the Display objects registered in the system

Name of the Display parent object.

Depends on the number of the Display objects in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture

5

Search alarmed links recursively

Set the checkbox

Sets if recursive search for the objects on the layers is possible. The recursive search is a search, where the transition from one layer, containing an object, to another layer, containing an icon, is performed by successive jumps to the the neighboring layers, using sequential links

Boolean type

Clear

Seta recursive search is enabled

Cleara recursive search is disabled

6Search depthEnter the value into the field

Sets the search depth for alarms across map layers if the Map is multi-layered. This parameter determines how many layers will indicate the alarm. The value can only be entered if the Search alarmed links recursively checkbox is set.

Sequence of numbersClear

Empty field—search across layers is not limited;

0—related layers are not taken into account during search, that is, in case of alarm, only the layer on which the alarm occurred will blink;

>0—indicates the number of layers through which the search will be performed. For example, the Map has 6 interconnected layers and the alarm appeared on the 3rd layer. If the key value=1, the alarm will blink on layer 3, as well as on layers 2 and 4

7

Search for the shortest path

Set the checkbox

Enables the search for the shortest path to the alarmed layer.

If there are several paths from the active layer to the alarmed layer, then the shortest path is automatically found and selected when the Alarm signal is received (only one icon, that is Link to layer, will blink in the active layer, indicating the shortest path).

Works together with the Search alarmed links recursively option only

Boolean type

Clear

Setsearch for the shortest path is enabled

Clearsearch for the shortest path is disabled

8

Over all windows when alarm

Set the checkbox

Sets if the window of the Map interface object can be displayed over all active applications in case the Alarm signal is received from any object of the Map interface object

Boolean type

Clear

Setthe window of the Map interface object is displayed over all active applications in case the Alarm signal is received from any object of the Map interface object

Clearthe window of the Map interface object isn't displayed over all active applications in case the Alarm signal is received from any object of the Map interface object

9Show videoSet the checkboxEnables the function of live and archive video request from the map for cameras and objects linked with camerasBoolean typeClear

Setthe functions to request live and archive video are available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras

Clearthe functions to request live and archive video are not available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras

10Show frameSet the checkboxEnables the function of frame request from the map for cameras and objects linked with camerasBoolean typeClear

Setthe function to request archive frame is available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras

Clearthe function to request archive frame is not available in the menu of the Camera objects and objects linked with cameras
