The Security zone object is used for the general configuration of Axxon PSIM.
The settings panel of the Security zone object is shown in the figures. The tables describe the settings.
The Basic settings tab:

1 | Protocol clear time | Enter the value into the field using the up and down buttons | Sets the time of the day at which to start cleaning up the Event Viewer database according to the Events archive length parameter | HH:MM:SS | Current system time at the moment of the object setting panel opening | 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 |
2 | Events archive length____days | Enter the value into the field | Sets the number of days to store information about the events registered by Axxon PSIM and recorded into both the Event Viewer and the Incident server. This parameter affects all computers in a distributed system | Days | 3 | From |
3 | Object code | Enter the value into the field | Sets the number of the access control card, which is automatically displayed in the settings panel of the User object, when the object is created in the Object code field | Sequence of numbers | Not defined | More than 1 |
4 | Starting configuration | Select the value from the list | Sets the macro, which will be automatically launched at Axxon PSIM start | Names of the Macro objects registered in the system | Not defined | Depends on the number of the Macro objects created in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture |
5 | Connections in architecture | Set the checkbox | Sets the computers with which the created Computer object should exchange the data about the system configuration parameters: with all computers in the digital video surveillance system with distributed architecture or only with the Computer object on the basis of which the given object was created | Boolean type | Clear | Set—when creating a new computer, the Connection checkboxes in the Architecture tab are set for all computers in the architecture Clear—when creating a new computer, the Connection checkbox in the Architecture tab is set only for the computer on which this new object is created |
6 | DNS instead of IP allowed | Set the checkbox | Sets the address of the Server/Remote Administrator’s workstation/Remote Client in the Architecture tab as DNS name, not only IP address | Boolean type | Clear | Set—when configuring the interaction of the computers in the distributed system, DNS name (instead of IP address) of the Server/Remote Administrator’s workstation/Remote Client can be specified in the Architecture tab Clear—when configuring the interaction of the computers in the distributed system, IP address of the Server/Remote Administrator’s workstation/Remote Client should be specified in the Architecture tab |
7 | Ping (s) | Enter the value into the field | Sets the check period for the computer connection to the Server | Sequence of numbers | 10 | >=1 |
8 | Show documentation by clicking F1 | Set the checkbox | Enables opening documentation in the pdf format by pressing F1, when Axxon PSIM is started. Administrator's Guide is opened on the Server and the Remote Administrator’s workstation; Operator's Guide is opened on the Remote Client | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the documentation is displayed by pressing F1 Clear—the feature of displaying the documentation by pressing F1 is disabled |
9 | Debug statistics | Click the button | Opens the window with the events queue statistics | - | - | - |
10 | Administrator’s password | Click the button | Open a dialog box for setting the Administrator’s password | - | - | - |

When the computer is reconnected, it gets all the events for the period when there was no connection Clear—the offline synchronization is disabled. When the computer is reconnected, it does not get the events for the period when there was no connection |
Internal synchronization: online | Set the checkbox | Enables the online synchronization of the events | Boolean type | Set | Set—the online synchronization is enabled. The events are sent right after they occur according to the configuration parameters of the computer interaction in the distributed system Clear—the online synchronization is disabled. The events are not sent | |
