The settings panel of the system object is located on the right side of the System settings dialog box and is used to activate and configure the object selected in the tree.

Depending on the type of the selected object, the settings panel of this object displays the necessary fields for entering the parameter values—the elements of the settings panel.

The elements of the settings panel are described below:

Element name

Options for using the element

Field for entering a numerical value of the parameter

Enter a numerical value of the parameter: place the mouse cursor in the field, click the left mouse button and enter the required number from the keyboard

Field for entering a string value of the parameter

Enter a string value of the parameter: place the mouse cursor in the field and enter the required number from the keyboard

Checkbox

Set/clear the checkbox.

Set the checkbox in the field and clear the field by clicking it with the left mouse button

Radio button

Set the radio button to the required position: click the required field with the left mouse button. Other fields get cleared automatically

Slider

Set the slider to the required position: drag the slider cursor along the scale with the mouse

Drop-down list

Select an item from the drop-down list.

The list opens when you click the down arrow button located on the right side of the element and looking like a triangle. To select from the list, click the required item with the left mouse button

Information table

This table has automatically filled fields. Working with the table means activating the lines (columns) using the checkbox on the left side of the table. Text fields cannot be edited. The number of lines cannot be edited.

Note. The table for selecting the hard disk for the archive storage is an exception. You can add new lines to this table when configuring recording to network disks.

When you right-click any area of the information table, a separate extended window with this information table opens (see item 11 above). This window is intended to improve the process of working with small tables.

In order to set all checkboxes in the column of the information table, select a cell in this column and press Ctrl+A. In order to clear all checkboxes in the column, select a cell and press Shift +A

Table

To enter data, do the following:

1. Place the cursor in the table cell

2. Enter/select the required values in the fields/from the list in the column lines of the table. As you move to the next cell, the entered parameter values are saved in the table

3. To add new lines to the table, select any field of the filled line and press the down arrow button on the keyboard

4. To delete a line from the table, press the Ctrl+Delete key combination

Information field

The field displays information messages. It cannot be edited

Button

It starts the function corresponding to this button.

To click the button with the mouse, hover the mouse cursor over the button and click the left mouse button

Video thumbnail buttonAfter you click the button, the preview area will be displayed in its place: a thumbnail of the video image corresponding to the customizable object. If you press Shift on the keyboard and right-click on the thumbnail, an enlarged window with a video image will open
