Attention!

A macro to replicate protected records starts working when the archive reaches its limit and FIFO overwriting starts (see Configuring recording to an archive)

You must create and configure a Cycle rules macro (see General information about macros) to automatically copy protected records to a separate archive:

  1. The first action in the macro must be Check protected records in archive. In this action, do the following:
    1. In the Camera field, select a camera or a group of cameras, the archive of which must be checked for protected records.
    2. If you select a specific camera, in the Record to field, specify the archive that you want to check for protected records. If you select a group of cameras in the previous step, only the default archive is checked (see Configuring the default archive).
    3. In the Depth of check field, specify the depth of check in HH:MM:SS format. The time interval between checks is calculated as follows: [starting time of the earliest recording in an archive, starting time of the earliest recording in an archive + depth of check].
    4. Add Start replication as an action that must be performed when there are protected records within the check interval (see Start replication).
    5. Select During as the replication period. Replication duration determines the time interval from which protected records are copied to another archive. All protected intervals starting within the [starting time of the earliest recording in an archive; starting time of the earliest recording in an archive + replication duration] interval are copied to the replication archive. In general cases, the replication duration must be the same as the Depth of check parameter.

The screenshot shows the settings that make the system check for protected records in 1. Camera in the archive AliceBlue within the [starting time of the earliest recording in archive; starting time of the earliest recording in archive + 10 minutes] time interval every 10 minutes. If there are protected records in this interval, replication starts, and all protected records, the start of which is in the [starting time of the earliest recording in an archive; starting time of the earliest recording in an archive + 10 minutes] interval, are copied to the replication archive.
