Axxon One has an embedded ONVIF server that you can use to add Axxon One as a video recorder to other software (for example, Onvif Device Manager (ODM) or Happytimesoft).

Attention!

The ONVIF server doesn't support the use of cameras with MJPEG codec. To work with the ONVIF server, you must change the codec of cameras.

To configure the ONVIF server, do the following:

  1. Install Axxon One 2.0 together with DriverPack 3.73.79 and later.

  2. Stop the server (see Stopping the server).
  3. Create the NGP_ONVIFSERVER_ENDPOINT system variable (see Appendix 9. Creating system variable). In the Variable value field, specify the IP address of the local Axxon One server.

  4. Start the server (see Starting the server).
  5. In the software (for example, Happytimesoft), add the Axxon One server as a device using the 8081 port.

The ONVIF server configuration is complete. The software will broadcast the video image from Axxon One in real time.

You can also add the ONVIF server to another Axxon One server as an ONVIF generic IP device (see Searching, adding, configuring and removing IP devices).

The ONVIF server will be added to the configuration as an IP server (see The IP Server object) with corresponding cameras.
