General information

Some cameras feature embedded analytics for license plate recognition and vehicle speed detection. IP devices that support this analytics are listed in the list of supported IP devices in the Analytics column.

Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar is an embedded detection tool, which is used to determine the vehicle speed. Based on events received from the embedded radar, you can configure macros in Axxon One and search the archive by vehicle speed.

Configuring the Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar detection tool

In general, the Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar is configured as follows (as an example, the GIT-CNW25060/BUR(L) camera is used):

  1. Configure the detection tool in the web interface of the IP device.

    Attention!

    • Settings for embedded detection tools are described in the official documentation of the corresponding IP devices.
    • To receive events from the embedded detection tool in Axxon One, set up a schedule in the web interface of the IP device:
      1. Go to the ConfigurationLPRSettingsGeneral tab.
      2. In the Schedule settings section, select the operation time of the embedded detection tool.

    1. In the Detection Settings group:
      1. In the Detection Trigger field, select Always.
      2. In the Repeat Plate Checktime field, specify the value 1 millisecond.
    2. In the LPR Message Post Settings group:
      1. Set the Enable LPR Message Post checkbox.
      2. In the Post Type, select RTSP value.
  2. To save the changes, click the Save button.

  3. Add this IP device to Axxon One by setting up permanent recording to the archive and selecting Always from the Recording drop-down list (see Searching, adding, configuring and removing IP devices).

  4. On the Detection Tools tab, below the required IP device, click Create…  Category: Embedded Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar.

  5. Configure a macro when the Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar detection tool generates an event (see Configuring macros). If necessary, you can configure a macro to initiate an alarm when the vehicle speed is exceeded (see Initiate alarm). To do this:

    1. Click the button below the condition for macro.

    2. In the Parameter field, specify the Speed value; in the Value and Max value fields, specify the minimum and maximum vehicle speed in km/h.

  6. Click on the Apply button .

The Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar detection tool is configured.

When the vehicles moving at speed that exceeds the values specified in the macro are detected, an alarm is initiated and displayed on the Alert panel (see Alert panel, Working with an Alarm Board).

Search the archive by vehicle speed

You can search in the archive for events from the Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar detection tool based on vehicle speed. To do this:

  1. Switch to the archive search mode of the camera on the basis of which the Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar was created (see Switching to the Archive Search mode).
  2. Specify the search time interval (1, see Setting a search interval).
  3. From the list of search types, select Search by LPs (see Search by LPs).

  4. From the list of detection tools, select Embedded vehicle speed measurement radar (2), the alarms from which must be used as a search source.

  5. Specify the license plate number of the vehicle to search in the archive (3).

    Note

To search by all recognized license plates, enter * (asterisk).

  6. Add an additional Vehicle speed criterion (4): in the From and To fields, specify the vehicle speed range in km/h. The search results will only display events where the vehicle speed matches or is within the specified range.

  7. Click the Search button.

This starts a search based on the selected criteria.

The search results panel displays frames with vehicles, the license plates of which contain the text from the search query and also meet the specified additional parameters.
